Who we are

Solar Acre Ltd is responsible for the personal information we receive through this website and use to respond to enquiries about our services.

Contact us at enquiries@solaracre.co.uk or 01993 670001. Our address is 17 Wychwood Close, Carterton, Oxfordshire, OX18 1DL.

Information you provide

When you contact us, we receive the details you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, property address and project requirements. To prepare a design or quotation, we may also ask for relevant property photographs, electricity-use information and details of existing equipment.

Please only send information relevant to your enquiry or project.

How we use your information

We use your information to answer questions, discuss your requirements, arrange surveys, prepare designs and quotations, and provide agreed work and aftercare.

Depending on the circumstances, we process this information to take steps you request before entering a contract, perform a contract, meet legal obligations, or pursue our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and administering our business. Where consent is required, we will ask for it and explain how to withdraw it.

Sending an enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.

Online estimates using SpeedyPV

Where you use the SpeedyPV estimate service on our website, the service is provided by Midsummer Energy Ltd. Midsummer collects personal information to produce an estimated cost for installing solar PV at your residential property. This can include your name, contact details, address and information about the property.

If you request contact from an installer, Midsummer passes the relevant information to a company such as Solar Acre so that it can contact you about your project. Requests outside Solar Acre's installation area may be handled by Midsummer and referred to another installer.

Please read Midsummer Energy Ltd's Privacy Policy for details of its processing, retention and your choices. Solar Acre uses information it receives to respond to your request as described in this notice.

Services that help us respond

We use service providers to operate the website and administer enquiries and projects, including Wix for website services, Google Workspace for business email, and EasyPV for solar design and project administration. Relevant information may be processed through these services.

If your project proceeds, relevant information may also need to be shared with parties involved in delivering or certifying the agreed work, or where disclosure is required by law. Your project documents can provide further details specific to the work.

Cookies and external services

The website and embedded services may use cookies and similar technologies. Details of the technologies actually enabled, their purposes, retention periods and available controls will be provided through the website's cookie information.

You can also manage cookies through your browser. Links to external websites and embedded services, such as video players and the online estimate service, are subject to the relevant provider's privacy information.

How long we keep information

We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, taking account of ongoing enquiries, agreed work, aftercare, warranty requirements, legal and accounting obligations, and the handling of disputes. Contact us if you would like information about the retention period that applies to your records.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict or object to its use, or receive certain information in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Contact enquiries@solaracre.co.uk to exercise your rights or raise a concern. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
