More from your solar.

Battery storage, EV charging and upgrades.

Store solar energy for later, add EV charging or explore an upgrade to your existing system. We’ll review your equipment, electricity use and future plans, then recommend compatible options for your home or business.

Care today. Ready for tomorrow.

Keep your existing installation in good shape and plan improvements with confidence. We start with an inspection, then explain what is useful, compatible and worth considering.

Panel & roof care

Arrange a condition check, discuss suitable panel cleaning or plan roof maintenance around your array. We’ll assess access, panel guidance and any work needed before recommending the next step.

Optimisers & monitoring

Understand how your system is performing through compatible monitoring. Where shade or differing panel conditions warrant it, we can assess whether optimisers would be a useful addition to your installation.

Existing-system upgrades

Adding storage, replacing equipment or expanding an array starts with a compatibility review. We’ll check the existing design, electrical capacity and any connection or warranty implications before proposing changes.

More possibilities for your energy.

Build on the system you have, or plan the next step. We’ll check compatibility and explain the options that suit your property.

Battery Storage

Store surplus solar for later, or charge on a suitable cheaper tariff. We’ll size storage around your usage. Power-cut backup needs compatible equipment and wiring; your proposal will explain what it can supply.

Electric Vehicle Charging

EV Charging

Charge conveniently at home with a suitable EV charge point. Smart scheduling and solar-surplus charging can help make better use of your energy, where the charger and system support them.

Bird Protection

Discreet mesh around a suitable array can help keep nesting birds out from beneath the panels. We’ll inspect the installation and roof before recommending a compatible solution.

Smarter batteries.
Local support.

Meet SMUG: software that helps a compatible battery make better use of your electricity tariff. Through our relationship with Midsummer, we can help you explore SMUG for a Fox ESS system and guide you through setup.

SMUG brings together your import and export rates, household demand and a forecast of solar generation. It then plans when to charge and discharge the battery, helping you use lower-cost energy and make the most of suitable export opportunities.

We’ll check the system and connection requirements, explain the settings and help you get started. Results depend on your tariff, usage and equipment; savings aren’t guaranteed. SMUG is available from its provider, with Solar Acre offering personal advice and setup support.

Your battery.
Better timing.

01 / Charge when it costs less

Store surplus sunshine, or use a suitable time-of-use tariff to charge from the grid during cheaper periods. A battery can also work without solar. The right schedule depends on your usage, capacity and charging speed.

02 / Use it when you need it

Use stored power during the evening or higher-priced periods, reducing what you need to buy then. Smart scheduling should also leave room for tomorrow’s solar and respect any backup reserve included in your system design.

03 / Export when it makes sense

Some tariffs reward exporting at particular times. Buying low and selling higher may be possible where supplier rules and the system allow it. We’ll consider conversion losses, battery wear, tariff rates and export limits: the headline price difference is not guaranteed profit.

Your upgrade, thoughtfully planned.

A useful upgrade starts with the system you have and the way you live. Here’s how we take it from an initial idea to equipment you feel confident using.

01 / Your plans

Tell us what you want to improve: evening energy use, EV charging, backup provision or an existing system that needs attention. Bring your bill, tariff and equipment details if you have them.

02 / System review

We inspect the installation and assess electrical capacity, equipment condition and a suitable location. Compatibility, ventilation, access and any existing warranty requirements shape the options.

03 / Clear options

Receive a proposal showing the equipment, scope and price. We explain battery capacity, usable features and tariff assumptions, so you can compare the options and decide at your own pace.

04 / Ready to install

Once you are happy to proceed, we confirm the scope, timing and access arrangements. We identify any network permissions or notifications and explain what needs to happen before installation.

05 / Fit & commission

Our team fits and tests the agreed equipment, checks its operation with the existing system and commissions the controls. Backup capability is tested where it forms part of the agreed design.

06 / Handover & support

We show you the app, controls and essential settings, provide the relevant documents and explain aftercare. If SMUG suits your Fox system, we can guide you through its setup too.
